Sun - Jan. 6, 1918 still here. beautiful day got out of K.P. after Breakfast. Play Pedro all day. raining tonight. go to bed early Mon - Jan. 7, '18 still here. help clean up the ward & play cards. wrote to Berniece got paid today. raining part of the day. Tue - Jan. 8, 1918 no hope of getting out until Mon. help clean the ward. play cards cold & cloudy. |
Wed - Jan. 9, 1918 got out of the hospital this morning, it sure seems good. got a letter from Berniece and a package from home with a sweater in it. answered B.'s letter and wrote to the folks. sent my other diary to B. go to bed at 6:30 as I am on guard tonight. Thu - Jan. 10, 1918 on guard from 2:40 A.M. to 6:00 A.M. fatigue all day clean the barracks awfully cold trying to rain a little. play Pedro a while and go to bed. |
